02: designing for the space between humans and machines
designing for the space between humans and machines
Tejaswini Vantigodi designs in the in-between; that small but significant space where humans and machines learn to understand each other. With a Master’s in Human–Computer Interaction, she translates data into empathy, interfaces into stories, and complexity into connection. Her approach to design is equal parts logic, intuition, and a quiet obsession with making technology feel human; where even the most intricate systems begin to make sense, and maybe even spark a smile :)

In the age of automation and artificial intelligence, Tejaswini looks for what lasts. The human capacity to feel, to notice, to care. Her work weaves emotional intelligence into digital systems, creating experiences that don’t just function, but resonate; where machines can mirror our empathy, and technology becomes an extension of our shared humanity.
Let's make it feel.

when I'm not designing, you'll find me painting.

01 how i got into UX
I grew up in a town in India, surrounded by people who struggled to use technology. Despite being one of the largest consumers of technology, access and usability were often unevenly shaped by language, literacy, and familiarity rather than intent.
That gap stayed with me. It shaped how I think about design: technology should adapt to people, not the other way around.
02: why i’m drawn to complex systems
Clarity has always mattered deeply to me. Growing up with my grandparents, I watched them struggle with systems that weren’t designed with them in mind, experiences that made accessibility feel personal, not optional.
That’s why I’m drawn to complex, high-stakes systems like healthcare and fintech, where design decisions carry real consequences. When done well, clarity isn’t just helpful it’s empowering.
03 what i’m still curious about
What continues to drive my work is curiosity, especially around trust. I’m interested in how interfaces shape confidence, how systems can feel calm instead of demanding, and how design influences decision-making.
This curiosity led me to explore trust in technology through my research project, COCO, examining how users build trust in AI-driven systems.
I see design not as something to complete, but something to continually refine.
